I DOUBLE HEART NY (AND ADDING LONG SLEEVES TO ONESIES)
by Daughter Fish
When Mama Fish was in town a couple weeks ago, we decided to pimp out a couple of onsies for my twin niece and nephew back in Seattle. The ubiquitous short-sleeved I heart NY onsies, found in hundreds of tourist shops near my apartment, don’t cut it for damp fall evenings in the Northwest. At the same time, the twins seem to get overheated wearing too many layers at night. To balance the hot and cool—or the yin and yang of the onesie—we added long sleeves under the short ones.
It looks like those sleeves may have turned out a bit tight for Mr. Hulk here (a.k.a. Minnow #4), but the effect worked much better on our little lady, Minnow #5, perhaps because the jersey we used for the sleeves (and heart!) was a bit stretchier.
I can’t get enough of these little fish, and can only hope that they’ll one day recognize the coolness of their NYC tourist schwag.

Cute!! Love these little minnows. The sleeves are great. I’ll save these onsies forever.
Whoa! These are hip AND practical! Great idea!
oh they’re soo cute in a tacky way. They have a great aunt!
Gosh! They are so cute!! The babies and their NYC love shirts!! Good job, auntie!!
LOVE long sleeves under short, especially with stripes. These are too damn cute. The kiddos and the onesies. Well played! xox
Adorable! Way to pimp a onsie!
Twins! You are a lucky aunty.
